Cohere Labs Community Leads are community members who step up to guide, support, and shape our programs. They host sessions, help welcome newcomers, and build spaces where researchers and learners can collaborate, grow, and explore new ideas together.

As a lead representing one of our subfields, you will be expected to create a home for your subfield in the community. You will:
Post regularly to your channel sharing the latest research and news in your subfield
Proactively answer questions that relate to your field
Coordinate and host virtual sessions which could include guest speakers, paper reading, coding implemention sessions, etc.
As a lead representing a geographic region, we are excited to see how you ignite conversation with and engagement with those (geographically) close to you.
How you do this is up to you! Some examples of what you may choose to take on:
regular Discord posts sharing ML research news and developments coming out of your geographic region
hosting meet-ups or coffee chat socials (virtual and/or in-person) that fit within your region's time zone
organizing initiatives around conferences local to your region
organizing peers to collaborate within your region.
We aim to support short-term programming that brings value to our community. Pop-Up Programs are limited-run, one-off events led by community members and create a temporary space for you to share your insights, skills, or creative perspectives for the benefit of the community.
For subfield and Geo Regional programs we need at least two people as points of contact for the group (max 3 leads per program).
Pop-up programs do not require a co-lead; they can be led by an individual.
Post in #general channel to gather interest from the community.
